AUBURN vs. CAL '23
In September we welcomed an estimated 10,000 Auburn fans to Northern California for a weekend of a lifetime and an Auburn victory! Our club organized several events to keep our Auburn community entertained, and we are excited to share the highlights!
Weekend Recap
A year (honestly, maybe two years) in advance of the game, our NorCal Auburn Club was hard at work to organize and plan a weekend that showcased the beauty and spirit of the Bay Area for all our traveling Auburn fans. We have a relatively small club, and we wanted to show up and show off the way Auburn deserves!
To kick off the weekend, we hosted two different happy hours, including our very own Mad Dog in the Fog with Aubie the Tiger! This was such a fun experience to welcome both tourists and local Bay Area residents.
On Thursday and Friday, our club hosted more tourist-focused activities including a bike ride across Golden Gate Bridge, a 5k fun run through Chrissy field and a hike in Lands End. These events received incredible feedback, and we had a blast spending more 1x1 time with participants.
On Saturday, it was game day! In addition to the Auburn Alumni Association's tailgate, the NorCal Auburn Club created a bar-hopping guide for fans to follow. The campus and surrounding bars were flooded with Auburn fans, who created a lively and festive atmosphere.
We will never forget this weekend, and to all that came to celebrate with us - we hope to see you in the Bay again soon!
