SEC Basketball Champions!

But it doesn’t end there

Auburn Basketball took us on a ride this season. If you’re not up to date, than let’s review—

  • In January, Auburn Men’s Basketball was ranked #1 in the AP poll for the first time in history.
  • Auburn Women’s Basketball saw success with new coach, Johnnie Harris. The team had victories over three ranked teams for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
  • On Saturday, Auburn Men’s Basketball not only clinched it’s first undefeated season at home since 1998-99, but also came out as SEC regular season champions.
  • Earlier today, Bruce Pearl was named SEC Coach of the Year.

It’s been quite a season for both basketball teams, but it’s long from over. The Men’s SEC Tournament kicks-off Wednesday. Auburn earned a two-round bye and will play this Friday morning (9 AM PST) against the winner of Texas A&M vs. Florida.

If Auburn wins than they head into semi-final on Saturday and potentially the finals Sunday. Tune in Friday morning, and if the game goes in our favor then keep an eye out for Saturday watch party communication. Follow us on Instagram for more updates, and see the bracket here for all games.

Finally, Selection Sunday for the NCAA Tournaments [better known as March Madness] occurs this Sunday. That means more watch parties ahead!
